Chelsea Kurnick is a wine geek with a flair for writing. She is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and earned her Advanced Certificate in Wine and Spirits through the Wine and Spirits Education Trust (WSET), with overall Merit and with Distinction in Tasting. She also worked as a cellar hand for the 2012 harvest season at Ehren Jordan Wine Cellars in Napa Valley, where she drove a forklift, sorted grapes, and even stomped syrah with her feet, I Love Lucy-style.
Chelsea’s love of international travel comes from her father, who has been to every continent (yes, even Antarctica) and who hikes “14ers” all over the world. Her love of road trips comes from her mother, and Chelsea considers herself a phenomenal amateur tour-guide of the west coast of the United States. Her favorite path in California is the Lost Coast Scenic Drive.
Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics from University of California Riverside, where she was also editor of the university’s literary arts journal Mosaic. Since childhood, she has loved the written word and, for over 10 years, she has attended literary readings and art events at least twice weekly.
Chelsea came to McCue because she loves the team’s emphasis on brand storytelling. She puts her expertise to use developing creative content and coordinating accounts.
